I'm am particularly interested in the Hunger Strike that happened in Northern Ireland. I found it fascinating that they went to such an extent to protest their punishment and I am shocked that they lived so long without food. I think that they were deprived of the rights in article 5 and 9 in the International Declaration of Human Rights and seemed to be exercising their rights in article 19.

I wonder why they decided to go to those lengths and how they lived so long?
I think that this topic sounds really interesting, and in doing a little bit of research, I found a movie that I think would correspond really well with your topic.
ReplyDeleteIt's called Hunger, and here's a link to the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw7WJLZmVF4&feature=related.
I would just dig deeper into your topic and write out more questions so that you can come up with a more interesting question that can be supported and have a good argument for. Also, why is this important for us to be informed about?
